About the Anderson Valley Health Center
Anderson Valley is primarily an agricultural
community located in Mendocino County, California. The Valley is situated
along Highway 128, between the coastal and inland mountain ranges and is made
up of the four small-unincorporated communities of Yorkville, Boonville, Philo
and Navarro.
It is home to a variety of agricultural industries such as livestock, apple orchards, olive groves, forestry, fresh produce stands, vineyards and wineries.
An estimated 24% of the residents of the service area have no form of health care coverage, based on people receiving services at AVHC. 27% of the Anderson Valley residents receive MediCal the highest percentage in the County.
